Safeguarding
At Run Her Way, safeguarding is central to how we plan and deliver our work. We bring together women and other community members through running activities, participatory research, workshops and events, and our activities often include sensitive discussions about personal experiences and feelings of safety in public space. We recognize our responsibility to create safe, respectful and supportive environments for everyone who comes in contact with our work.
We are committed to responding promptly and appropriately where concerns arise. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility at Run Her Way, and all Board members, staff, contractors, volunteers and partners are expected to follow our safeguarding policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
Our current safeguarding policy focuses on adults aged 18 and over and ensuring that all adults at risk are protected from harm, abuse, and neglect. We are also developing separate safeguarding arrangements for future activities involving young people under the age of 18.
To raise a safeguarding concern or to receive a copy of our Safeguarding Adults Policy, email safeguarding@runherway.org. Run Her Way’s designated safeguarding team reviews safeguarding concerns within 48 hours of submission.
