Kate Tellier
Founder and Director of Run Her Way
Kate founded Run Her Way in 2024 while pursuing a master's degree in sports management. Asked to address a problem in the sports industry, what began as an academic exercise quickly became deeply personal. Her own experiences of being followed and harassed while running, along with countless stories from friends and women worldwide about being chased, attacked, and the various precautions they take to feel safer, made it clear that something needed to change.
Recognizing the gap in proactive, preventative approaches for female runners, Kate was driven to develop a solution. She wanted to ensure that women and girls could experience the joy of running without fear, knowing that their communities were listening and taking action. Her professional background in policy advocacy and community engagement provided a strong foundation for the creation of Run Her Way.
With more than 15 years of experience in communications and public affairs in the corporate sector, Kate has a proven track record of influencing policymaking and developing community engagement programs at scale. Most recently, she led pan-European policy campaigns and strategy for Amazon. Prior to that, she served as a director at Brunswick Group, the world’s leading critical issues advisory firm. She has worked in New York, Brussels, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, where she currently resides.
Kate is also an ultramarathoner, Ironman triathlete, former NCAA Division I soccer player, and mother of two. With Run Her Way, Kate is bringing her passion for sports into her professional life and working to ensure that her daughter – and women and girls everywhere – can run confidently and fearlessly.
